If it's turning over (cranking) and it's not being sluggish about it then the battery and starter are good. With a Versa my first guess would be fuel pressure regulator as it was the most common issue with Versa's back in the day. There is even a TSB on it I think.
You can get in turn the key to on position but don't start it. I actually did this a couple times when my car wouldn't start. Basically listen for the fuel pump to prime the lines. Then hold the key to start cranking and you can press on the gas lightly. On my old Nissan's I was able to hold it to the floor and it would get the car going. On my V I had to press it lightly while cranking.
Now it may be something other then the fuel pressure regulator. But you will have to investigate it a little more.
