2012 Presidential Candidates

So here's a site with the candidates so far for the 2012 US election. Obviously it'll be narrowed down, but I thought it's time for a discussion thread.

In Time I read about Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. If the other republicans didn't get there and it came to one of these, who would you rather?

If Obama is in the running would you vote for him?

On the page above, who do you think could do good being our president?

I'm going with ron paul I think he would be the best he really seems support the constitution and how the country was formed I think he would be a great president, he also is big pro gun guy and 2a suporter witch I like :thumb2:.

And if obama was running again I would vote for anyone but him IMO he's ran this great country far enough into the ground.

I don't really get into this crap.... But all I have to say is, im tired of people bashing Obama. I don't know much about history, but what I do know at 23, is since ive been alive, no president has had to deal with the economy they way it is today, back then. Everything is falling apart in this world, and alot rests on his shoulders. I honestly don't think anybody else on this forum (including myself) could do any better. Yes I agree that the troops should have been taken out by now, but once again, I don't know what choice really needed to be made. Maybe Obama had a plan, but didnt really tell anyone. Who knows. Like I said eailier, I don't know any presidents that have dealt with the economy the way it is, so I take my hat off to him for trying.

Ron Paul I'd vote for, but he rarely ever gets any media recognition. All the other candidates in the Republican party have gone to the debates, but looks like the top 4 will be Perry, Romney, Bachmann and Paul right now. Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the race after the first debates back in August. Not sure how Rick Santorum is holding up.

Yea I've leaned toward Ron Paul right now. Rick Perry has been pretty good for Texas, but I don't know how he'd do with America its self, and not just a state.

I'm waiting to see the rest of the debates and follow on what they claim they'll do and stuff, see how well the hold up too.

I know here locally, a Texas news station is trying to get scandal stuff on Rick Perry to open to the public, now that he's in the debates, no one cared about anything he did till now, and he's been Texas's Governor, when he ran for the position no one cared, but now that its the President they're all over trying to find stuff.
