I'm not sure how much, maybe 130-140hp is my estimation. What I'd like Nissan to do is get rid of the analog fuel gauge for a digital one, the B16 is a digital bar so this would be a step backwards. Otherwise, they're downgrading to 1.8, unless its for increased fuel consumption that wouldn't make sense.A 1.8? What happened to 2.0? How much more HP does it make? What kind of MPG are we talking? I like the rear. It looks like a maxima. I likey!
I dunno, it goes both ways about the gas gauge with me. I personally like the needle, but after having the digital, it looks cleaner.I'm not sure how much, maybe 130-140hp is my estimation. Yeah same here. I like it....... But I think my 2011 Sentra SR looks sportier, and more aggresive. This just looks classy, and corolla like. Its like Nissan has went soft and fluffy, then hard and mean. Ive always known Nissan to be all about performace. But it seems latly they are trying to keep up with Toyota, then be different, just my 2 cents. As an example, Nissan always used a bigger engine, for cars in the same class. Most sentra classes are 1.8, well Nissan was 2.0. Most Versa classes were 1.6, Nissan was 1.8. Most sedan classes were 2.4, Nissan was 2.5. Now a days, everyone sportn the 2.0, 1.8, 2.5. Seems latly Nissan is stepping down to make better MPG, and instead I think they just need to keep the engines, but tweak them better for MPG. Or just do Like the kia rio, 1.6, 138hp and still gets between 30-40. Why does the Versa have 1.6 109hp and get 30-38 MPG? Yes I know the Versa is bigger, and maybe thats why its 2mpg less, but if it had 138hp to move that body better, maybe it would be better MPG? Once again my two cents. Basically, I dunno if im happy with where Nissan is going. I like my fun to drive, sporty like cars, and im just affraid Nissan is tossing in the towl for those types of cars......It looks nice but I like the current Sentra more.
I've noticed that too, but as for the Versa I've always chalked it up to how it's the heaviest of it's class (maybe Nissan should look into that somehow without sacrificing too much quality)Yeah same here. Subaru and Mazda did the same thing with the Mazda 3 and the Imprezza in the compact class. They both used to be 2.5 170hp, but were reduced to 2.0 around 150hp to have better MPGs.Yeah same here. Looks like a shrunk Maxima.![]()
You are so wrong so many ways. Nissan sold more cars in the Asian market than Toyota. Nissan is getting aggressive, and to compare Nissan with Kia is embarassing. I like the direction Nissan is going. I hate your Sentra. Versa has been stealing Sentra customers since it came out. The 1.8 is a good engine. Refined. Lucky Versa has the 1.8. Someday it will be gone. I think turbos are good but they run hot unless they are diesel. Nissan needs to implement turbodiesels more in the NA market. The new Sentra is more refined than your car. Stop gloating.:blue flower:Yeah same here. I like it....... But I think my 2011 Sentra SR looks sportier, and more aggresive. This just looks classy, and corolla like. Nobodys gloating. I expressed my opinion. If the Sentra is gone in the future.....well great, its gone, I dont care. As far as the Versa, I never said it was a bad car, matter of the fact, I still recommend the Versa to many people. I was making a comparison between engines, not cars! Unfortunately for the versa, I wanted something bigger as far as the drivers side, and my sentra does get better MPG than my 1.8 versa did. I respect the fact you may not like my posts, but once again it was my two cents. That post was not about 100% true facts, for you to go a-wall. For family people the Versa is a great choice. For people like me who dont have a wife and kids right now, the Sentra fits very well. Its whatever your needs are. Ive had it for a year now. Once again your opinion about the new Sentra being better then mine. I never said it was better then the new one, I believe as far as engines are concered, ill keep my MR20 powerd sentra. Nobody was bashing the Versa for anything. I personally have brought the Versa and Sentra back for multiple issues, so (in my opinion again) they are about the same as far as reliability. Alot of people on these forums will tell you the problems they have had on the 1.8 motor, in such little mileage, some were good, some were bad. Im sure cause I hate the Versa so much, im still on here trying to help people if I can, and then I started the Versa buddys on facebook, which then made sense to change it to Nissan Versa Fourms with the help of Henry. So before you come after me, make sure you know for a fact im after the Versa, Sentra or Nissan. Honestly ive been looking at Rogues latly, so I really cant be a die hard Sentra fan, if im looking around. But im sure this is just a power struggle for you, but im just gonna leave you with this post, so you can rethink about what you said. Oh, and P.S. I hate you Versa too, are we even now? Grow up........ :blue flower:You are so wrong so many ways. Nissan sold more cars in the Asian market than Toyota. Nissan is getting aggressive, and to compare Nissan with Kia is embarassing. Cool, thats awesome to know about the Nismo parts! I wonder which 1.8 motor will be used if they go back to it, or will they make a new one?it hasn't been confirmed what engine will be in the new sentra yet...its only been rumored that it will return to a 1.8 but not confirmed...this body style has already been put in production and already been ready to sell over seas. nissan did confirm that it will be a smaller version of the new altima..they however have yet to mention if a SER or Spec v will be made..one thing is for sure that a Nismo version will be made...it could very well take over the SER Spec-v name...i also read that Nismo parts will indeed be made for almost all of the new nissan line up.
