Hello! We have a 2014 Versa that is as base as they come. Manual tranny, windows, locks, etc. All is great except the hatchback lock. It is EXTREMELY hard to unlock. Frequently the key won't even turn in the lock. There is no key fob or anything since it's all manual and we can't figure out how to fix the issue. Thanks.

Spray a little lube into the lock cylinder and turn it a few times. I use CRC Power lube on my keyed locks.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE WD-40. It is not a lubricant at all.

So the key turns freely elsewhere in the car? Sometimes people vandalise car locks by squirting glue in them or breaking off pins, etc. Can you look inside the lock by poking it? Like above, try spraying something like maybe carb cleaner first then some lubricant afterwards. Then work the key in and rotate it back and forth.
