Happens every time when accelerating up to 50MPH as long as I'm not pushing the pedal too soft or too hard. It has to be medium pressure on the throttle. The squealing does NOT get faster as my speed increases. It has happened since I bought the car new, but used to happen less frequently (only rainy days). Now it never goes away.

HOWEVER, I have ALSO heard this noise on/after damp or rainy days, right when I start the car up WITHOUT TAKING IT OUT OF PARK. The noise is exactly the same noise as the acceleration noise. When this noise happens, it usually subsides rather quickly, sometimes even immediately when I put it into gear. Then as I start accelerating, the squealing noise returns with slightly more intensity than on a dry day.

Someone has to have the answer for this. I've taken it to many many mechanics. At first, when the car was brand new, this would only happen on rainy days, so the mechanics claimed to not hear the noise. Now, they all say the same thing. "We could replace your serpentine belt, but it might not fix the problem". I am convinced my serp belt does not need to be replaced because this was happening even when the car was brand new off the lot. I also have read in other threads that replacing the serp belt either did not help at all or it only temprarily fixed the issue.

One way to find out if a serpentine belt is a culprit, is to sprinkle it with water when you hear a squealing sound in its vicinity. If the sound temporarily disappears, that's it!
The only problem is, it's pretty rare to hear the sound while in park and not accelerating. This only happens very occasionally on damp/rainy days and it usually goes away quickly until the next time I accelerate.

I replaced my own serpentine belt and it went away and returned after a while. But the thing with my vehicle is it doesn't have an auto tentioner. So I belive my belt is wearing in and it's time to retighten the belt. If I were you, I'd look into that.
