1st Accident, rear-ended twice by the same car:

2nd Accident, rear-ended again! Pulled out of a parking spot & ready to when an SUV runs into me. This ended up being my fault as I was still in "reverse".

3rd Accident, an 85yr man fails to turn in his turn lane! He didn't even know he'd hit me until I stopped him even then he denied the dent on his car and mine?!

And last night a near miss for 4th place. A large pickup decides he'll get with a few feet of my rear bumper then pull very fast behind me. He rides up close to the guy in the right lane (I'm in the left) then merges into my lane while I'm still in it. Isn't fun seeing large truck tires get that close to the front of your car. Although braking at 60mph went well thanks to the new tires lol.

Is it just me or is my car a magnet for getting hit? I'm starting to wonder if I should name this car the "doom buggy" haha. Or better yet change cars before there's a serious accident. This is the first new car I've ever bought the two previous cars I bought used. Never as much as had a scratch on them!

How much did it cost to get your hatch fixed after the first accident?

The entire hatch was replaced with a new part after the first accident. The second bump the first on the new hatch I believe cost in the region on $700 (most of which was labour) for them to pull it out, repaint it etc and replace the VERSA badge.

sometimes it is difficult...or should I say a challenge just keep the AEM parts in good shape. [paint and bodyparts]
my hood and front bumper have lots of bugs and rocks that I hit on the highway. insurance is not going to cover that. that's why I don't bother taking pics of her much because she deals with a lot of bugs and rocks from our daily communte. the inside looks good and the motor and tranny run good as far as I know and that's the main thing

the best way to keep the Versa in good shape is don't drive it much, keep low mileage to reduce the chances of getting hit by another car or hitting somebody else or hitting a wall or a tree just hitting anything.
and keep it under a car carage away from the sun and extreme weather conditions and give her a bath every week :thumb2:

If I had to guess how much it would cost to replace a whole batchback door... I would say 3,000 dollars, painted, installed, and parts and labor, taxes and fees at the dealer. that is just my guess

I complained to Nissan Consumer Affairs and had my attorney send them a letter. About the way the front was chipping and what looked to be dirt in the paint in several spots. They ended up repainting 60% of the car. A 2011 Versa shouldnt look like a beat up chevy after only 18k miles.

I've a short commute to work, about 15 minutes each way yet I managed to have someone run into the back of me twice and once into the side of me. Luckily insurance covered all repairs and the car looks like new again.

Looking at the invoice for the first set of repairs it reads "liftgate" which I assume is the hatch? Priced at $490 plus tax. The locking mechanism which also had to be replaced was $145. The total repairs for the first accident which covered new hatch, bumper shell, bumper, both rear quarter panels repainted and reinforcement, plus a replacement drivers seat came to $3,700. This was done at a dealer.

Second accident which was the dent in that new hatch came to $1000 and all they did was pull the dent, repaint the hatch and bumper, replace the VERSA badge. Most of that cost was labour and again work done by the dealer.

I'm sure prices vary from region to region but that's what it cost to have those repairs done in this area.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear. 3 accidents in a year I feel your pain. I let my dad borrow my car, and this lady backed up into him on the highway in traffic, because she rear ended the car in front of her. She got out of her SUV and put it in neutral instead of park. They were on a slant. $2,500 in repairs. Which ended up being my dads fault. Insurance companies suck.

Ouch sorry to hear... my family went through a spell where in the period of one month all of us (parents, sister and myself) were involved in 2 separate accidents each, with the exception of my mother who had 3. All within a month. The 2 I was in I wasn't actually driving, and one my sister in she was a passenger.

That was a bad month, and sent 2 cars (one with less than 200 km's on the odo) to the scrap yard.

i almost rear-ended a little civic this afternoon, heading out after eibach meet, was driving home and was taking one of the highways back. i was in the fast lane (which was only two lanes) and the civic (plus his little "crew") were in the slow lane.
i decide to just, pass them up. well, as i was speeding up, this crappy civic pulls out of the "racing line" they were forming, to cut me off, without signal, to go the same speed as he was going to go in front of this civic eg that was ahead of him. i had to slam on my breaks to avoid hitting his car. he goes into the line, and just looks straight, not trying to make eye contact or even look at me. this civic, was being driven by a 17yo.
