I finally have something to blow off about =)
went to mcdonalds today for my lunch break via drive thru

I ordered the number ten combo, ten chicken nuggets with fries and a drink
sweet tea to be more specific

I paid the lady her money on window number one, then I pulled to window number two to pick up my food and the lady told me,

sorry honey, but your nuggets will be ready in 45 seconds so can you just pull up and I will bring them to you and she looked at me right in to my eyes.
perfect eye contact with the costumer

anyway, long story short I waited 4 minutes!!! almost four minutes and the lady sent someone else to hand me the food, I wanted her to bring me the food like she said she would and I wanted it in 45 seconds, she did give me a large drink so I kind of saw that one coming. After I did the math, I didn't want a large tea, but she hands me large, she said 45 seconds yeah right LOL
was I feeling compensated, YES...

END!

so you're thinking really? you want to blow off about mcdonalds slow fast food service really? YES!!!
why not... am I bored? YES, in fact I can't sleep so I'm chilling outside on the netbook..wireless baby!! wireless... :woot:
on my way back to work I said, I'm posting this on versaforums

well.. glad I got that one off my chest! byebye!

Fast food ain't fast anymore. They have diversified the menu too greatly, causing out-the-door times to go wild. IMO, they need to go back to burgers, fries, and a shake.

If i had a quarter for every time I spent 10+ minutes in a McD's drive thru.....

I too have noticed how fast food restaurants have slowed down greatly.

I loved In N Out Burger in Cali for the simplicity of their menu. The food tasted so good. I think when they have fewer choices they can spend the time preparing the food better and making it a bit quicker. The place was packed so we had to wait a bit, but it was well worth the wait. Sometimes the wait for McD's isn't all that great :S

Man, if you think Fast Food is slow anywhere else, you have to come to LA and experience the terrible feat of getting food here. When and IF you ever get your food, it's always cold, the wrong order (completely wrong or too little), they charge you for stuff you don't even buy, AND they give you an attitude about it when THEY get it wrong. It is an absolute nightmare to go to any eating establishment here and is not worth the time or money.

But, on a better note, we have something called "Canes" here that serves only fried chicken tenders that are amazing, texas toast, coleslaw, and drinks. They serve nothing else...and it is the best fast food here. Partly because it was founded and owned by a guy named Todd Graves who went to LSU and lives here. Hands down the best food in our college town when it comes to fast food.

HAHAHA that's funny... the thing is that I only go to Mcdonalds when I'm in a happy mood and willing to take whatever comes. so when I'm in happy mood mode I feel like eating at mcdonalds to bring back all the wonderful childhood memories... but sometimes after I order and still have to wait to pay for a long time I drive off but only if I didn't pay for the meal.

maybe I should be the first costumer who refuses to pull forward...
so next time I'm going to say its only 45 seconds if I pull forward my order will not be priority? Why? the guy behind me will get his burger and fries and I will still be waiting... just because I'm tolerant doesn't mean they can treat me like shitt...
or maybe I should pull forward and wait like a donkey because I worked at a restaurant and sometimes you run out of stuff and you have to make more...

I think next time if they ask me to pull forward I think I'm going to shake my head and say NO!! with a smile that says... sorry I'm next in line and I will be next in line :)
that should light up a fire on someones tail

In Brazil Mc Donald's are way too expensive
And tastes like s**t, the meat fells like you're biting shoes.
And it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get your food done!
It's never fast.
That's why I prefer subways it's cheaper faster and more tasty than every other fast food.

It does to me, taste like crap I almost get sick just from the smell of it. McDonalds here in the US isn't cheap either long term but I've noticed a lot of people think of the "here and now" as to the costs. Long term over a week, month then a year the cost of that junk food adds up. I knew a guy making minimum wedge and ate McDonalds, Burger King, Sonic etc everyday for lunch and spent maybe only $6 a day.. Ok $6 not even an hours worth of work it's nothing right?

Assuming spending only $6 a day on junk food.. "eating out" and assuming out of a year there's a total of two weeks you don't eat out the costs look something like:

1 Week: $30 - not a lot is it.. almost a tank of fuel
1 Month: $120 - only most of your car payment?
1 Year: $1500 - It's only those new wheels you wanted?

If you're going to eat at McD's lunch and dinner, it will cost you at least $20 a day !
that's $100 a week and $5200 a year of junk, and horribly tasting food !

One's gotta be extremelly weath, aint possible to pay that earning minimum wage here, minimum wage is about $330/month !

i actually went to burger king, ordered 8 tacos, they told me to wait in the front of the building.. i couldn't wait so i went inside and asked for taco sauce, they said "we're out of taco sauce and heres your tacos! have a goodnight sir" btw, id rather fry some bacon and eggs for dinner rather than getting a $5 burrito from taco bell (tacos are 2 for $1 at bk).... i could use $5 for 2 more days of gas. the only fastfood i really liked (in LA) was tommy's by temple, just dont go there after club hours or you'll be waiting :D 24hrs chili dogs and fries YUM!

P.S i wasnt gonna settle for BK's tacos w/o taco sauce so i made a bowl of pico de gallo!
