I have some 225/45/17's sitting in my garage (from a prev. car) and I have some ASA EM9 17x7 ET +40.

http://www.ityre.com/en/disks/catalog/asa/1638/

I want to put the tires on (the correct size is 215/45/17), do you guys think I'll have any issue?

Any rubbing?

Spacers required?

Any members running this on their V?

Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.
When youre upsizing from the stock 185/65R15, add 20 to the width, minus 20 from the aspect ratio (profile), add 2" to the diameter. 205/45R17 would be best but depends on the price. If you can get a better price for the 10mm wider tire, all the more for it. But hope you can cope with the increased fuel consumption as the rim and tire combo are gonna weigh more, theres gonna be more rolling resistance, and more engine effort to move those steamrollers lol.

225/45-17 on 17x7 +40 WILL WORK, these are the exact sizes i am running. you will only rub if you get coilovers and max them out, with tanabe springs you will not rub, and of course not lowered at all wont rub.

btw, 215/45-17 is the closest to stock diameter, which is what you want.
