Is it normal to hear the compressor making kindof a clicking noise??? it's not really a high pitched click, but more of a mix between a click and a knock if that makes any sense.......

didn't notice it till the colder weather though....seemed ok last month. of course we just got this car, and I'm not sure what is "normal" for it. been a long time nissan owner, so I know they all have thier little quirks.....

It makes alot of noise. Its prolly one of the noisiest things on that car. Mine makes a growl type of noise for about 3 sec after button is pushed, or knob is turned to defroster. Im sure its normal.
i dont hear mine at all and its always running, it might be the clutch going on and off if you want to be sure just take it in if its under waranty to be safe. how often does it do it is it consistant or random. consistant is most of the time ok but not always.
yeah, it's not a "bad" noise......adn it goes away after you drive for awhile.

I kinda figured it would be normal......This is my 6th nissan vehicle, so I'm well aware of the standard nissan oddness!!!LOLOL!!

at least they finally figured out how to seal the light cases!!!LOL!!
I know this is an old time thread but just 3 weeks ago I noticed a noise inside the cabin when the A/C is on. It actually happened every 30 seconds or so and its getting hotter. After an hour i notice a sound which is not even noticed by my wife. i thought is was the glove box never knowing it was actually the A/C Compressor But depending on where the thermostat is set and the temp outside, it engages and dissengages the compressor for the air. Just a heads up and hope all of you guys help me out for this.
