Hello I have a 2009 Nissan Versa base model 1.6 L engine.
I can switch the climate control system to air conditioning, but the air conditioning compressor clutch is not engaging. The light in the dashboard comes on. The air climate control module is brand new. The air conditioning system was not working previously to the climate control module replacement.

I am able to bypass the electrical system by running a jumper from the clutch terminal to the positive on the battery. When I do this I can hear the clutch engage with the engine off. If I run the engine and use the jumper the engages and the compressor spins. When the compressor is spinning, the air conditioning system blows cool air, not cold, but just cool.

I tried charging the system using a 134a kit with the clutch jumper to see if maybe it was a low-pressure situation. The system accepted maybe a quarter to a half a can of refrigerant.

I put everything back together the way it should be, but I am still not able to get the air conditioning clutch to engage.

Is there any other troubleshooting methods or other areas I should investigate?

Thank you,

Rob
