They are nice I'd get a set but they would never work around here to much traffic lol. As for the holes only thing I can think of is take it to a body shop.

thats my "test fit"....unsure if I'm happy with how it'll be mounted and still thinking how I'm gonna cover the holes on the door.
any ideas are helpful

I 100% agree with that haha. Another thought came across my mind while lookin at the pics....the fiesta rally cross car(my fave) also mounts their mirrors there too! 
Plus I only paid $50 for em...they were used and faded...i just waxed em up and look almost new
thats where it would sit if i made a small mount after tracing the OEM one on to cardboard and then mounted the mirror at the top of that mount
