Arm rest for 2015 Versa S

13136 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  charliecip
Does anyone know if an after-market center arm rest is being made for the 2015 Versa S? All the ones I see only go up to 2011. Does anyone know if it'll work on the 2015, or which one will?

Thanks,
Dan

Hey Guys! I suffer from the same problem...wish there was an armrest for my car. I just confirmed by looking at our Genuine Accessories catalogs. There is no available armrest accessory for the new Versas. The option is actually in the higher models (SV) as the armrest is built into the seat itself and just folds down.

So in short, buy a new seat with the armrest on it...but if you're like me, probably not worth the money :(

It looks as though but can't really be certain, that some of these aftermarket armrests I have seen on eBay may fit, assuming the rear cup holders size is the same as the ones advertised. I have seen a few for the '09-'11 model years where it appears the setup would be the same in the '15 model...attaching to the cup holder. Some of them advertised I noticed were in the $35 range...and the same ones selling up to $60-70 elsewhere. I read through the instructions on these and they come with 8 screws. 4 screws for the base and 4 screws for the console attaching to the base. The instructions don't specify, but I am assuming the base mount screws must go directly into the cup holder, so if you ever decide for whatever reason to remove it you are stuck with 4 little holes in your cup holder. I guess you could always cut a circular small piece of felt or thin rubber material and cover that if needed...assuming the thing is really a piece of crap and you got just wanted it out. I was wondering how stable that contraption would be screwed into the cup holder? It could turn wobbly on you quick?

Toward the bottom of the listing there is a link to snap-guide which goes through the installation: Nissan Versa Note Black Armrest Center Console 2014 5DH Hatchback Brand New | eBay

This one above says does not fit Sedan.

Here, this fits states fits 07-11 Sedan an appears to be the exact same unit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-Versa-Armrest-Center-Console-07-11-Sedan-07-13-5DH-Hatchback-HB-Brand-New-/151353759441?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item233d6316d1&vxp=mtr

I guess the best choice would just be to wait until something shows up the clearly states will fit the '15 Sedan.

This one supposedly fits the 2015 S: http://www.amazon.com/Center-Console-Armrest-Storage-2007-2014/dp/B00BOEFEPC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415038404&sr=8-1&keywords=nissan+versa+center+arm+rest

I ordered it and received it two weeks ago, but have not had a chance to install it just yet. I will keep you all posted...

Okay, update...

The referenced center arm rest does indeed fit just fine in the 2015 Versa S Sedan. It fits on the back-most cup holder. It allows you to drill four holes in the bottom of the cup holder, which I have not done yet, but even with a tight fit, it does move around, so I will be drilling four holes to bolt it in. The cup holder in front of it is accessible, but not for drinks. However, it's extra storage which I WILL take advantage of since this car lacks storage. Might be great for one of those cup holder change holders. I will probably be adding that soon. The rest is padded and the vinyl seems fine, plus, it slides forward a couple of inches. The plastic is just generic ABS plastic, but it seems like it will do. There isn't much for storage inside the thing, but every little bit helps in these cars. And, the thing flips up, which is nice as it is a little difficult to access the seat belt clip if you are on the wider-side, as I happen to be. All in all, I'd say, for me, it was worth the $65.

So, now we have an option for the newest of Versas.

How did it go? When you put the screws into the cup holder was there any issues there like the plastic stripping out and the screw free turning? Does it feel tight and secure after screwing it down?

Thanks,
