Welcome- while looking up the Nissan Latio, it appears it's a model related to the Tiida. But it's different than the North American Versa model most people on this board own. I've never heard of the stop/start issue you've asked, but would usually advise to check for codes held in memory, but does the Latio even have a OBD2 port? It may be difficult to get a clear answer on this board- have you tried a automotive discussion board related to the Latio?

You've explained a few things about the Latio, but failed to answer the important tech questions: does your Nissan have an OBD2 port for diagnostic use? Have you tried going onto a regional car site to get any answers?

On-board Diagnostic (OBD2) port is under the dashboard and Nissan dealerships can access them. Many USDM owners have acquired readers so we can work on our cars. How do you read codes?
