Bad head unit LCD?

See the image w/ this post. Notice how the LCD "blocks" and all the other assorted icons, etc are still visible. While only a minor aesthetic issue, I've found that it is nearly impossible to just glance at the unit to get the time, etc, and it requires more of my attention than i'm comfortable with while driving. Do others also have this problem, or is this something that would be covered under warranty? (The car is < 1 month old)

If theres a problem, it should be covered. The worst the dealership can do is say that its normal and they wont fix it.
Honestly I think its normal. I think thats the way the new ones are. But I could be wrong.

One of my co-workers Frontier looks very similar to that so I'm not sure if it's actually a defect (They are the same save for a different knob).
I contacted Nissan on Twitter and they asked me to get in touch with Consumer Affairs. If it were considered normal, I imagine they would have stated as much. I'll let you know how it goes.

FYI, FWIW, my 2010 Versa did not have this problem with the LCD.
