I am not very skilled with cars, so I would like some advice....

Is there any inexpensive way to make the Versa track better. I know that wider tires will help. Can I just put a wider tire on the rims that come with the car? How wide can I go without changing rims? Would gas mileage be very effected. How about ride quality?

Thanks for the help.

Hmmm "track better"? What's your complaint? Understeer? Oversteer? It helps to know what you're after. Are you planning to Autocross? Rally? Commute?

To get wider tires don't you have to have wider rims? I don't see how you could have tire wider than your wheel.

I was running 205 60R15 on the factory steels on mine till I got the 240 rims they worked fine, they are on the right rims now steels where 5.5" wide and the 240 rims are 6" wide. If the 2012 rims are 5.5" wide I don't see why you can't run them.

205 60s it is! I do a fair bit of Montreal to Toronto highway driving. I don't want the car to wander so much on the road. Thanks for the advice and replies.
