Billet Grille

1869 Views 9 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Eyes_D_1_UNV
I am looking to purchase a billet grille for two areas of my versa. I want both the top (in between headlights) and bottom (in between fog lights) to be billet. I find the top billet grille easy to replace, however, I noticed that the current black material between my foglights is attached to my bumper. Is there anyway of going around this without having to replace the bumper? All help is appreciated. Thank you!

Not sure how to remove the bottom piece. I think some that had after market pieces purchased simply installed it in front of that piece. I made my own lower grille, and installed it with electrical ties to the lower piece.
Is this what you have in mind?

If so, it just goes in front of the lower piece.

Where are you getting the grille from? Are they providing instructions?
Im not sure. I found the billet grille i want on ebay, but i dont know how to remove the black material thats in between my head lights.

Between the headlights (where the "Nissan" emblem is)? That piece can be removed easily. I'm sure there are instructions up here somewhere.

The lower piece between the fogs though, I have no idea how that is removed.
I meant in between the fog lights lol.

You said head lights previously.

Between the fogs I have no idea. Sorry. Try emailing the seller to see what they say. I am gonna guess that it just goes in front though.

Well those that Ashley pointed out that I have are just overlays which I'm pretty sure the billet grille is practically the same.

They go right over top of what's already there and they send you tire wire to tie them on, but just check with the seller as stated above.
I have the one you are talking about. Yes it overlays over the bottom grille but i had to make some cuts to the back side of the black plastic grille (fins) due to the hardware they supply. The threaded rods they supply are not long enough to reach from the billet grille to the flat bars they attach to. I marked where the (flat bars) would touch the back side of the plastic stock grille (i call them fins) and had to cut out enough material off (back side of grille fins)so the threaded rods would go enough inside the flat bars so i could attach the supplied nuts. I did all this laying on the ground so i didn't have to take the whole bumper assembly off the car. (lazy i guess, lol) Hope this helps. Mine looks awesome and i painted the polished edge black to go with my blacked out paint scheme. Oh yea mine is a 2011. Don't know if that makes a difference but it shows that it will probably work on all year Versa's. I sent a message to the seller if it would work on a 2011 and they weren't sure but said if it didn't work they would refund my money.

Thank you for the help. I'll see what my local nissan dealer says about the bottom billet grille.
