Black Out Emblem

I've been thinking about getting rid of all the chrome on my car. What have you guys used to black out the emblems? Was thinking about using a semi gloss black or gun metal gray. Also checked out some 3M wet or dry sandpaper about a 220 grit.

hit it with nightshades and call it a day.
Really? Some people use primer and put a gloss black/gun metal gray and clear coat it after they sand it
How do you take off the Nissan emblem on the back? I plan to put it back on after it's blacked out with a gloss shine

I guess you can do that. You want a nissan emblem to try it out first? I have the one off the back of my car if you want it. I will give it to you for free as long as shipping isn't through the roof.

I took mine off with wire and a cleaner. I hear dental floss or thin fishing line works good. I soaked the area with a cleaner to lubricate it. I did get some tiny fine scratches but they will buff right out.
Can you de-badge the whole car using this method? In other words, are all the badges on the car just glued on?
Except for the grill, that one is held on by tabs and will leave holes.
I'm sure you can remove it, but it's probably a PITA
i think night shades would work nicely.
I know that, but I want to retain the glossy appearance while keeping it dark
this is motivating me to flat black my rear emblem... I am going to take it off later tonight and see how it looks w/out it... and if I like it, just leave it as is... if I don't flat blacked it will go
Everyone seems to dislike chrome on the forums ...

Not me :) I have something w/ a lot of bling waiting to be installed :D
yeah, i actually just debadged mine this weekend, looks real clean :)

That's why I bought the chrome grille. I love chrome and I find it makes the car look a bit more expensive :D

I am not a fan of the chrome. I don't know why just never really liked it. My old car had a chrome grill and I painted it all black.
My old car had everything in black. Black door handles, black mirrors, no grille, no fog lights ... That is why on this car I was so happy everything was colour matched to the car, and that is why I love getting extra chrome accessories for her.

I took off the rear nissan emblem so far, I haven't decided if I want to take the Versa letters off... yeah I'm usually not a big fan of chrome, but ilmv's new grille looks pretty good (surprisingly). ill probably go another route with mine though...
I have an HK badge to add on to the hatch as well. I'll probably put it under or on top of the current Versa badge. :D
I debadged the back but I am going to grab the ducktail spoiler for my Sedan. I am going to have to put the emblem back on I think as there is a cutout on the spoiler for it. Otherwise it's just going to look weird.
