Black trim on lower part of the V.

its your sideskirt, I have a feeling if you were able to remove it the part under that would just be a bunch of holes and ugly things like the frame and whatnot. Why do you want to remove it?

Those are the sideskirts, and yes, they can be removed. I believe they have 8 screws. Are you going to paint them?

I think if you remove it completely that it will look as if the car is missing something because then the front / back bumper will look much lower than the rest of the vehicle. You should paint it red to match the rest of the vehicle

To give it the illusion of it being higher than it is (well hopefully it would).

Not sure if I will paint them. Good point on it looking like it's "missing something."
Also would the front and back trim be removable too?

The black molding on the front/rear bumpers are attached and cannot be removed.

Hmmm...repaint it a complimentary or contrasting colour! Or even a lighter grey or something

The side skirts are removable; I had mine removed and painted to match the body.

are the sports trim side skirts also black?

I'm liking the same color. So many choices...

I actually like the black lower trim. My sedan came with silver(color matched) front and rear "lips" and I noticed that the higher end models(except the SL with sports package) had those black so I decided to paint them, along with the lower grille.
