Bumper Compatibility

My Versa was in an accident and I need to replace the front bumper. I bought an aftermarket bumper but it doesn't seem to fit right. On the inside it's marked for a sedan but I have a hatchback. I thought they were the same on both but like I said it won't fit right, almost seems like the front bumper isn't tall enough. Does anyone know for sure if they're the same on both or not? I was looking around online and some places say they're the same where others say they're not.

What year is your hatch? Also, what year is the bumper? If they're both 2007-2011 it should fit.
Yeah i was under the impression that the front and back bumpers are universal for all versas, excluding the new sedan. Odd, can you take a pic or 2 of the attempt to put it on so we can see at what you mean.
Oh boy, this is making me a bit concern. I was planning to replace my front bumper as well and this is making me doubt myself.
For the first generation Versas, which I guess is all of them excluding the new style sedan;

The front bumpers are the same.
The rear bumpers are not the same between the Sedan and Hatchback.

This is according to certifit, and my body shop who has had to do two rear end collision repairs on my Versa Sedan.
Take a look at the following pic. Both non-sport models, the tail lights are different so I don't see the sedan rear bumper fitting the hatchback model.

So is his case just an outlier?
Bumper shapes and designs are driven in part by crash standards in a given country. Is it possible a front bumper from a car from Canada or Mexico could be slightly different than a US spec'd car?

s10th, do you still have the damaged bumper to compare the new one to? If the bumper skin is not lining up right, maybe something else has been damaged or bent a little bit.
Sorry to bring up an old thread but I finally found the problem. Even though the bumper was from Keystone, the bumper was still aftermarket and that was causing my fitment problems. There's tabs on each side of the bumper the go into the slide on the bottom of the headlight. The ones on the keystone bumper are too low... I'm guessing it was a manufacturing error? regardless, I'm going to buy a used bumper
