Bumper Protector

I got one :)
I'm here in Myrtle Beach, SC. I stopped by Grand Strand Nissan over here, and got myself a bumper protector for my Versa. With tax it cost me $32.40 US. In Canada it would have cost me, $51.30 CDN. Even with the exchange rate I saved a bit of money buying it down here.
When I get back, I am going to wash and wax her, and then install the bumper protector. I'll post pics when I do :)

Alot of stuff is so much cheaper in the US than Canada. I was up in Victoria Canada 6 years ago, beautiful place but expensive.
Ya ... We looked at the cost of the Versa's that were on the lot. Honestly they were about the same price. They had a fully loaded Armada in the show room, it was GORGEOUS, $51,000 US! If our government starts giving rebates like here in the US (Cash for Clunkers Program) then my dad will most definitely trade in the family minivan for something new. We highly doubt our government will, but who knows.

Victoria, BC? Ya out West is very expensive, more so than where I live. I am pretty much in between Toronto and Niagara Falls. (Close to the state of New York). So our prices seem to be more on some things, but out West in Canada, it has a high cost of living there. But I have heard it is a beautiful place to visit.
in B.C you pay for the scenery out your @$$.....honest truth.
Walmart in the US sells 2 bumper protectors for 8 bux, 3M brand....just need to cut to size...going to get me one this week as well.

Really? I never would have thought to look there.
I bought all my cleaning supplies at Wal-Mart.
For aftermarket items, I prefer to buy from Nissan. For $32, I was pretty happy, can't wait to install it :)
If it's aftermarket, then it's not from Nissan.

Sorry, I didn't name it correctly.
I guess I should have said for "accessories" for the Versa, I prefer to buy it from the dealer. ;)

Lol. I won't.
Some things are cheaper, but we still get good deals in Canada.
I had no idea you were in S.C.
I have seen quite a few Versas down here. Lots of them on the roads, more so than where I live.

does not have to be nissan branded to look and work as intended.

Can you link me to this 3m protector? Or do you have a part number? The 1.6 doesn't come with door sill protectors and I been wanting something just like you described for awhile. My daughter needs the sills to step into an out of the car.
I might go and buy the front and rear kick plates from the same dealership. I had emailed my dealership back home for the cost, and they emailed me today. They said the front are $106 and the rear are $106. Down here, the front and rear TOGETHER will cost me $105 + tax. Only thing is it takes 2-3 days to order, so hopefully the dealership gets my email to order them and I can pick them up Friday morning before I leave.
I really want the kick plates, right now my Versa only has the black plastic ones, and I like the look of the chrome ones.
I can't believe the difference in price for that though! That is a definite savings down here.
I am picking up the kick plates on Friday morning :)
The dealership here is so quick to respond and they are ordering me a set so that they are here in time for my departure on Friday morning :)
I can't wait to install all my goodies I got over here ... ;)

Reason for the snappy service....Bad economy and the dealers are feeling it the worst. they have to be kissing our feet nowadays or we just go else where.

I am going to get them this coming monday, August 10th. I will let you know about the part number or stock number.

dont the kick plates hold the carpet together as well?
dont the kick plates hold the carpet together as well?
Not as far as I know. That is a separate piece that holds the carpet.
We are back home now :)
Yesterday before leaving Myrtle Beach I stopped by Nissan again and picked up the aluminum kick plates for the front and rear, total cost $112. Total cost from my dealership would have been $212!!!
I will most likely place my black plastic ones that came with the Versa for sale, but it will be a week or more before I have a chance to install everything. ;)
