When you mean deluxe sound system, is that the 6 disc changer? The headunit should say MP3 on there. You might want to test out the disc on another MP3 CD player and see if there's nothing wrong with the disc itself.
Burning Audio Question
I have the new Versa Radio that can also control an iPod. It is the deluxe sound system. Isn't this radio capable of playing MP3 CDs??? I burnt myself a nice new MP3 CD and when I put it in the CD reader in the head unit it simply says "No audio track found..." and then it just sits there doing nothing.
Can the head unit play MP3 cds?? If so what did I do wrong??

Nope it is the one that comes standard in the SL sedan.
Do you have the right format? The one I had in my 2010 spec v had the iPod hook up but couldn't play mp3. But the Rockford system can
I have the same problem. I burned a cd last night and tried it. No Joy.. I think I needed to use a CD-R to burn the songs instead of a 4.7gb dvd disk. I will buy some CD-r ant try later. Also my audio has a single disk player and to the top left is "MP3" but that may be for the Ipod. I think max mp3 per disk is only about 130 songs.

As Hschlick84 said usually from what I've seen if a head unit can play MP3's it will say on it "MP3"
at least thats what i'm used to seeing on most of the headunits from different cars, and my own aftermarket one.
As for burning MP3 CD's or DVD's I use Nero to burn whats called a "Jukebox Audio CD" which is able to be read by compatible CD/DVD players

As for your error that you see, it is most likely due to either your head unit not being able to read MP3's in general or the CD/DVD isn't in a format that your disc drive in the versa can read so it spits out the "No Audio Track Found" error

You should bring the car into the dealer if you're under warranty and explain what the matter of the issue is. Maybe they have a technician diagnose the problem, and if its the head unit, then get it replaced. Maybe have a friend test it out with his own MP3 CD, it could be the actual discs you're using that aren't compatible with the player.The head unit definately says "MP3" on it. My head unit in my Versa doesn't have "mp3" on it but the one in my Grand Caravan does. For that vehicle I simply copy/paste mp3 files as data to a blank CD and play away. I've used Nero and UltraISO to make these data mp3 CDs.
I tried an MP3 burned cd once in my Versa, and it didn't work, and I have the upgraded audio too.

Take a look around and see if the 2007-2011 steering wheel control adapter is compatible.
When upgrading a head unit to one Hschlick84 has recommended (good price, nice style), how much better is the sound? The sound coming out of my stock head unit in my Versa is not very good. Doesn't come even close to hi fidelity. Knowing this, does one also need to upgrade the speakers and/or add an amp as well when upgrading the head unit? TIA.
I have found that the Versa speakers SUCK!!!! I changed them for a set of Pioneer 6 1/4 inch speakers (bottom of their line and not very expensive....) and voila! Much better sound.
DVD's and CD's use different lasers to read and write the information to the disk. You cannot play a DVD in a CD player. The formats are just that different. You cant play a blue ray in a DVD player. Thx. Its not the problem. If I take the MP3 cds to my home stereo they play fine. If I put them in my V the head unit says "no music format found". Yet, the owner's manual says that I should be able to play these kind of cd's. What gives??
The CD-R must be burned as an ISO and not as UDF - which is the default for most CD burning programs. The Versa CD players will not recognize UDF discs for MP3/WMA playback.
