trying to disable the door chime sound when key is in, would save me a lot of time if someone could post a picture of where the actual chimer is so I can just unplug it - 2014 versa note

That chime saved me a few times when I was about to lock myself out.

The chime is on the back of the insturment panel.
FYI, it is a multi function chime.

so I have to pull the gauge cluster off?

would short circuiting the switch in the door be much easier? you would only lose automatic interior lights?

edit: i used a torx and unplugged the plug from the door switch...no more chime....will try to do it properly later

It is a multi-function warning chime. Other systems will be impacted by tampering.
It is soldered to the cluster, so removing it will be difficult without damaging the cluster.
