Hi guys,

I'm Jack, the proud owner of a grey 2012 Nissan Versa 1.6 S. I have affectionately named it Captain Slow, because even though it's a manual, it still doesn't have the punch of my first vehicle, which I traded in for it (2007 Toyota Tacoma 5-speed).

I purchased the Versa because I needed a backseat (my truck was a regular cab) but wanted a manual. I like not having to worry about electrical gremlins. I drive a lot - bought the car with 26k in November and it now has 32k - and the car has almost everything I need. I just wish for an inside trunk release and a center armrest. The folding backseat from the SV would have been nice too.

The car is still in a 'trial period' at the moment, I want to hang on to it for a while before I drop $$$ on mods, just in case I sell it shortly after. Here are a few pics.

Nice truck, but yeah cab and a half would've been just right.

Yeah, my Tacoma was the 2.7L I-4 5-speed manual two wheel drive. Just like my Versa it was the basest of the base. If I had bought an extended cab in the first place I would not have sold it because I loved that truck to death and it easily got 23-24 mpg around town and 26 on the highway.

I learned how to drive manual not long after getting my license and never want to own an automatic. I love the in-control feeling of it.

@thematz - if nothing else it is definitely getting some alloy wheels. Those hubcaps have got to go. :37:
