My 2016 Note SR has only 22k miles. Got it in September. Love it except for the air bag flashing code 12. Anyways. I just changed to a $12 Amazon Cabin air filter. Check out the old vs new:

Unreal^^ I have bought vehicles with 200k miles and the filters weren’t that dirty. I’ve been possibly breathing that for a month now. So gross.

So if you have never changed your filter and have significant miles on your Versa get a new one and take the 5 minutes to pop a new one in.

Great advice and it's always wise to clean/change your CAF.

Yours doesn't look bad at all believe or not. I've seen them so bad you couldn't see the pleats.

I remember when I've got my 2012....asked the dealership to change the filter and got told "this model does not have a filter" (WTF??)
Car was 4 years old and my guess was that the filter had never been changed before, when I took it out it was blacker and the blackest darkest roast coffee 🤣

Now I change it every year at spring time, except this year that I went longer.

Never had one for 5 years until a mechanic told me I didn't have one. Installed one immediately. Guess I should make sure I have good health insurance when I get older...

I changed mine in my Frontier at 60,000 kms (should around 30,000kms) and it was fine. Not white, but still could have kept going on the original.
