I have a 2018 Nissan Versa Note, Had oil changes from pros, but a few weeks ago, did my own. Today the check engine light came on. Does something need to be reset after an oil change? Both my other cars will light a check engine light at the mileage for an oil change. Does this Nissan also do this? If so, how do I reset it? I put my scanner on it to see if any fault codes come up, but the scanner will not show a connection. It works on my other cars. I try to have the oil changed well before the recommended 5000 miles.

Check Engine Light has nothing to do with Oil Change Indicator. Nissan Versa 2018 sedan does not have OCI (so nothing to reset after oil change), check your Note's manual (or google it) if you have one (probably not).
