I changed the oil/filter, coolant flush and changed the serpentine belt and when I got underneath the car I noticed this:

Passenger side lower control arm

Now the Drivers side and how it's suppose to look

I've been noticing that thumping noise again and almost had a strut going bad noise and the handling didn't feel super. Now that I see this I know whats wrong. I just have to see what it's going to cost me.

did you try tightening it or seeing if it was stripped

wow that's weird man....

I'm going to go check mine out then and and take a pic and load them on photobucket and post the link
I have 96,000 miles on

I took a pic of the left side

will check the right side

Hope that helps, I do feel some type of small movement on mine but I feel it thru the steering wheel shaft or somewhere around that area. when I'm backing out on a gravel road.

Mine looks the same as both of yours. First time I seen it I was freaking out. But after looking more at it I deemed it how it's suppose to be.

Saturday I will jack up the car and see if I can tighten it down. I find it hard to believe that would be like that.

Yeah it just looks wrong. But since three of us all have it the same way I'm thinking it's suppose to be like this.

The sooner the better, that could get really bad, if it drops while driving, you dont want that or the catastrophic failure the car could indure

Okay guys/gals go get a picture of the same area of you car and I will bring it to the attention of Nissan NA.

ohh that is old oil when I forgot to put the oil cap back on after I checked the oil, I kept smelling oil thru my AC vents... I opened the hood, and saw oil all over the motor, It did get a little low and good thing there was a gas station near by and was able to add the oil back on. cannot remember what came up that made me forget. so that oil cap is not there for nothing. i will keep an eye to that oil pan gasket and make sure it is not leaking oil out or anything so thanks for the feedback :thumb2:

I almost killed my motor, was waiting for that piston slap sound but I guess the oi didn't get low enough

that's cool, just so everyone knows, it is located on the passanger side wheel, close to the wheel axel

I wonder if its okay to look like that so we need more input

Don't feel like jacking my car up (or digging it out from the corner of the garage where it is buried lol) but mine looks the same. I was kinda wondering about it, but since everyones seems the same I won't worry to much. Maybe jbeau will chime in...?
