Last month I did the drive from Chicago to Daytona to Key West and back. I drove 3400 miles and got 33.6 mpg. I know the window sticker says 34 mpg so I figure I'm dead on. Most of the ride I was driving at 80-85 mph and 4k rpms. Considering my high rpms (the motor was buzzing) I think the gas mileage was decent.

The gas mileage was good but I'd definitely prefer a 6 speed or even cruise control. You really start to appreciate cruise control when you dont have it for 3400 miles.
