I have decided to purchase a Nissan Versa. It's between 2 different Versa's. Both are 2018 models. One has about 7k miles with automatic CVT transmission and electric doors and windows. The other has 5k miles costs about $900 less and has manual transmission and with manual doors and windows. For some reason I'm leaning toward the manual trannie just because I'm not too familiar with CVT transmission and I generally find manual transmission more fun to drive. Both are brilliant silver in color.
Just looking for other points of view.

Go with your heart. If you like manual transmission, go with it. Nissan CVT is bad news.

After I paid extra for the CVT on my 2007 Versa SL 12 years ago, I realized that don't pay extra for a cheap car. It is still a cheap car. I was lucky and my CVT is still working ATM. But the Versa maintenance is not cheap.
- front suspension springs broke 2 years before Nissan recall
- airbag light came one because the clockspring in the steering wheel broke
- the intake manifold is mounted on top of the engine. A 30 minutes job to change spark plugs turns into a 2 hours job.

If you enjoy driving a manual transmission, I would go with that choice. Nissan has had a lot of issues with their CVT transmissions, and I am talking from personal experience. I have a 2012 Versa sedan, and drive like a little old lady. At just over 12,000 miles, my cvt went south, and it was replaced under warranty. Nissan has such confidence in their CVTs that the new one was warranted for only 12 month or 12,000 miles, which ever comes first..............NOT MUCH CONFIDENCE. The issue with their CVTs is so bad, that they have so called "new"? replacement cvts in the pipeline ready to go to the dealer on a moments notice. Good luck with whatever you decide to buy.
