OK, I just removed the passenger rear door.

OMG what is up with the window connectors? That is near impossible to remove. It just took me maybe 20-30 mins to remove it.
Other than that the rest of the door is a piece of cake to take apart ... Our car is all snapped together, it's like taking apart a toy car, haha!

To answer the questions.

I just sprayed the glue on the original fabric because if I removed the original fabric then there is no padding on the door.

Also, if you get bored you could always just glue the new fabric back on top of the previous one.

And yes, tuck in the edges. I used a small thin ruler and it works great.

I just finished up the rear passenger, and I'm on the passenger front.

:D

Don't worry about stealing ideas! I am posting up the DIY's to help people because I know how hard it is to try and figure this stuff out without any help.

I will take pics as soon as I'm done.

I made sure when I did my trunk cargo cover that I bought enough material. I'd love to do my headliner, but I don't think I want the same fabric. Maybe just pink or red one day ...

I'm waiting for some one to try that out first, lol.

Yes use a flathead. And pry up the top and it should lift up, then pry up the bottom.

Don't worry. Just keep trying.

I used to feel that way too, but in order to get it off you cannot be afraid, lol.

The rear window connectors are a PITA to get off. I just kept trying w/ the flathead to get them off and ended up cutting my finger w/ it. Took me like 30 mins for each rear door.

The front ones, you can use the flathead to pry them off and they popped off so nicely.

The rear ones are another story ... It's almost as if they are glued on ...

Start by pulling the top piece off (above the actual fabric). Just pull it towards you, and then once you get that off, pull the rest off by pulling at it a bit at a time.

To put the door back on, I found it easy to put the top piece in first (it's almost as it if fits over a piece on the door frame).
Then just hit it in w/ your hands, and each piece should snap in.

The one up is when it goes up w/ one touch (driver window only does this).
The one touch down works on the driver window, but the up feature seems to have deactivated.

Any ideas how to fix this?

It was 109F here today ... Over 40C. I took each panel off and then worked inside. It was too hot to sit out there.

I would do this again in a heartbeat. I'm sure in a year or two I'll be bored of the fabric, so I can always change it up :) This car is turning out to be a lot of fun.

As for the 'white' clips. They are supposed to stay in the door panels.

I found it easier to place the door panel on top of the door (near the window groove). It should sit nicely in the top part where the window is rolled down.

Then once that snaps in you just hit it w/ your hand on each side of the door and voila. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.

The front two doors took me seconds to get on/off.

Yes please post pics!

Don't worry, I'm a newbie at this stuff too. I never did any mods to my last car (besides tint, and that was done at a shop, haha).

Just don't be afraid to pull at things. Our car is pretty much snapped together and screwed in places. I find it a lot easier to take things apart on this car then on my brother's SE-R.

A simple LED license plate bulb change on his car took us hours to simply remove the trunk liner, and once we did, one bulb wasn't working, haha. So for now the liner is just hanging there because we are not removing it again for one bulb.
Let's just say, his car is NO FUN to work with.
