Looks absolutely fabulous! I love the way that makes your interior look...I hope mine will turn out that great. Unfortunately it rained here today so I may start on my interior first thing tomorrow. I need to do the underside of my trunk shelf too lol I was too lazy to do it the first time!

Wow! A++ :D

Hey, do the silver circular pieces come off with a little prying with a flathead? I'm having trouble getting mine to budge...but I'm also a sissy when it comes to pulling on the plastic as I'm afraid of cracking it

So I got the pieces off...but now, like you said I am having a very difficult time getting the window connector loose. Is there a button/latch you have to release or just keep pulling until the connector gives, without pulling the wires out?

The rear window connectors are a PITA to get off. I just kept trying w/ the flathead to get them off and ended up cutting my finger w/ it. Took me like 30 mins for each rear door.

The front ones, you can use the flathead to pry them off and they popped off so nicely.

The rear ones are another story ... It's almost as if they are glued on ...

I'm doing the front passenger first....and I've done all the way to removing the 2 screws holding it on...(that's all i could find) and now I'm stuck trying to get the door off. I've lifted the top off of the metal piece but I can't get the rest off. Am I missing some screws or am I just not pulling hard enough? Sorry! I've never done anything like this before and my hands already hurt!

Nevermind lol, I just hulked out and took the door off...WITHOUT breaking anything! Woohoo haha, but now I'm gonna try and fit the first piece of fabric and reinstall then I'm gonna start over if I like it! Thanks so much for the help...I'm not excited about the back doors either lol

Start by pulling the top piece off (above the actual fabric). Just pull it towards you, and then once you get that off, pull the rest off by pulling at it a bit at a time.

To put the door back on, I found it easy to put the top piece in first (it's almost as it if fits over a piece on the door frame).
Then just hit it in w/ your hands, and each piece should snap in.

I just got done upholstering the front driver and passenger door, my only question is for where the fabric has to leave a hole for the handle to fit over/through, I just cut a piece out for it to slide over and I was wondering if leaving a centimeter or so of fabric free/loose under there and then just slipping the pieces over it is correct. I trimmed the excess off as much as I could, but I want to leave enough fabric left over so it will stay in place underneath. Is that right?

I'm still having a lot of trouble putting the doors back on....looks like some of the white clips stayed in the door when I pulled it off and now I can't get them off of the metal to put them in the door to clip it back on, and I can't get them to match up just right so I'm pretty stuck. Trying to hard to get them out, I've cut my fingers/hands several times from the force of prying/pulling and slipping with the tools :(

Finally got both front doors re-installed, and it looks pretty good...I wouldn't say it was TOO difficult to do everything step by step, but I sure don't want to do it again lol...I think I'm going to finish the car tomorrow cause it's getting dark and I'm sweating my butt off in 103 degree weather doing it with no A/C lol

I'll continue tomorrow and get pictures to post!

Great DIY, thanks much for the help! It's definitely a fun addition :D

Quick Question: The driver 'one up' feature must have disengaged when I disconnected the window switches. It works to go down w/ the one touch thing, but not up.

How do I reset it?
Whats the one up? Is that where it rolls itself up when you touch it once, or it that where you can control all of the windows with the driver side only?

I want to make sure mine didn't reset, or do the same thing...

The one up is when it goes up w/ one touch (driver window only does this).
The one touch down works on the driver window, but the up feature seems to have deactivated.

Any ideas how to fix this?

It was 109F here today ... Over 40C. I took each panel off and then worked inside. It was too hot to sit out there.

I would do this again in a heartbeat. I'm sure in a year or two I'll be bored of the fabric, so I can always change it up :) This car is turning out to be a lot of fun.

As for the 'white' clips. They are supposed to stay in the door panels.

I found it easier to place the door panel on top of the door (near the window groove). It should sit nicely in the top part where the window is rolled down.

Then once that snaps in you just hit it w/ your hand on each side of the door and voila. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.

The front two doors took me seconds to get on/off.

Wow, haha...I guess I'm just a newbie/chicken at taking them off. It wasn't that difficult, more of a pain to have to deal with lol

Yeah, I mean, I don't know if my one up deactivated or not, but I'll check...and if it did, I'm not sure how to fix it. But I think tomorrow when I do the rear, I'll be able to do it with a lot more ease because after I mounted the front two back, it got to be pretty easy.

I thought putting the fabric on was the easiest because I'm very crafty, but other than that, I'm very pleased with how it looks. I'm gonna go take some pics and put them up!

Yes please post pics!

Don't worry, I'm a newbie at this stuff too. I never did any mods to my last car (besides tint, and that was done at a shop, haha).

Just don't be afraid to pull at things. Our car is pretty much snapped together and screwed in places. I find it a lot easier to take things apart on this car then on my brother's SE-R.

A simple LED license plate bulb change on his car took us hours to simply remove the trunk liner, and once we did, one bulb wasn't working, haha. So for now the liner is just hanging there because we are not removing it again for one bulb.
Let's just say, his car is NO FUN to work with.

Darn! That sucks...I know the feeling...haha

But here are some pics!

Front passenger/driver's side and the comparison to the back w/o the fabric

Btw, sorry it's sideways. But yep, that's the main picture of how it will look when I'm completely done...I like it better than the black/blue...even though my seats don't match now lol
