Heater control valve broke on our 07 versa. Heater core still good. Took AC box out of the car but cannot find the heater control valve anywhere. Videos online just talking about removing the control valve but I am concerned this will cause the interior of the car to always be a bit warm since the temperature control dial is mechanically connected to the control valve. Anyone experienced this and can speak to how they fixed it?

I removed mine because it was cracked and leaking inside of my Versa drivers side. I removed it and put back the heater core and I have.no issues what’s so ever. I also found a video that saved me a lot of time when replacing your heater core
