Hi Guys,
I need some help to solve an issue on my Nissan Versa 2008 Hatchback, my dome light stop turning on when i press the unlock button on the remote, but turn on when i open my door.
So far i remember, when you turn off the engine, the dome light also turn on but it does not anymore.
Do you know what may be the issue?

Thanks.

Did anyone change the setting on the dome light? (The little tab beside the light).
I have LED's in my v and they don't cause the issue snnplswk is having, so maybe its something else?
Thanks for your reply guys.
Yes i switched to led lights (trunk, dome, map), and the switch is on "Door" position, so far i remember the yellow bulb was having the same issue (before i switch to led). But this is something heppening recently
Did you by any chance disconnect the battery for any reason? I had a similar issue when I installed my CAI where I had to remove the battery for better access. Once I hooked it back up my headlights & Taillights wouldn't flash as they usually do when you unlock and lock the doors. To this day they still only flash when i lock the car and not when unlocked, never had the dome light issue though.

Probably . . . I don't remember. well it seems i'm stuck
Just so all knows, if you dont already, the Versa, like many other Nissans use a - door wire that goes + when the door is closed. For dome light operation a grn must be made in order to allow for the dome light operation. Without it just the on/off part of the dome light will work. My wife's Versa is a 2010 HB and I have recently added all LED interior replacement bulbs, as well as front/rear led footwell lights/rear LED lights under driver/passenger seats that were tied into the domelight. No issues. I played around with the circuit and verified that without a dedicated - continuity, only the basic/on/off woul work. Hope this helps...you should take a multi meter and verify the 3 wires either under the passenger side visor, at the dome light, or the passenger side A-pillar. the color codes are blk/yellow/brown.
1. Blk= 12V-
2. Yellow= 12V+
3. Brown= 12-
with door open, and 12V+ with door closed. Each door of the Versa uses a different color wire unique to that door which is also the same wire function as the brown wire that is mentioned above. Later this month or so, I will be installing the overhead map light/sunglass holder in my wife's car that I found online from an SL model. i will then be installing a 30/40amp relay on the dome light circuit to support the addition as well as to allow "other" lighting possibilities.

^^^ I don't really use my dome light so I doubt I'd upgrade to LEDs but thats great info. Adding a map light/sunglass holder would be good though.
Well this maybe a long shot, but I had a problem with my 09 where the doors wouldn't unlock when taking the key out, and they wouldn't lock after I hit the certain speed. Well when I took it in to have them look at it, they said the dome light was supposed to turn on and off by the keyless remote like you stated as well. Come to figure out, My BCM (body control module) had went bad, and that was the cause of it. They replaced my BCM and everything worked great again. Have your BCM diagnosed, that's a start.

Thanks i'll check that
Your welcome. Let us know what happened, and what's the cause of it.
What kind of bulbs is everybody having success with when swapping out interiors to LED? Ideally I would like to replace all the orange and white and it'd be nice to know bulb sizes without tearing apart
