Drop in MPG. Will a cold air intake help?

I’ve lost some MPG's in the past few months and i can’t find out what's caused it. I’ve run injector cleaner through my car a couple times and even tried bumping up the gas grade that i put in the car (that was a pretty penny). I’ve been looking at putting a few bolt on mods on the car for fun and to see if it'll help get the MPG's back. I was getting 28 MPG and now I’m down to the 23-25 range. I do drive the car hard sometimes but even when i did that i was still getting in the 28-30 MPG

Higher grade fuel will very rarely return better mpg's. The car is designed to run on regular fuel, so giving it higher octane isn't really doing anything.

As for the CAI and other mods, none will give you back 3-5 mpgs, but you might get a small amount back. Things like tire pressure and tread wear also have an effect on mpgs, so make sure those are all good too.
The drop in MPG's could be attributed to the colder temperatures. As for a CAI... if anything it will make it worse. With a CAI, the computer will adjust the amount of fuel being injected... if there is more air (as is the case with a CAI), then it will add more fuel. You probably won't notice the difference in MPG's unless like me, you like hearing the lower sound that is a byproduct of having a CAI and like to wind it out so you can hear it :p

Well, as far as i know and based on my experience, it's about more cool air. the more the better. So probably, the thing here is the Cold air intake for the air to get denser as it should definitely be.
Cai will bump up power, and any gain in HP usually means a loss in gas mileage.

I didn't felt the bumbed power but notice a better fuel economy that's for sure!
