2010 Versa hatch S (base):smileyb: 1.8L with 138.000mil .....I love the car but my neighbor and I have the same problem except his is a 09 Altima cp. My battery drains over night. I noticed my radio face light is on, and I can operate my radio even with the key out of the ignition. I just unplugged the connector from the back of the radio and my battery does not die any more.

I don't have the manual and I cant figure it out. This is my first Nissan so I'm thinking it could be a stuck accessory relay or something like that. Other than that it's a great car.

Also, it has a red blinking dash light with a car symbol and a key in it. When I turn off the car the blinking light comes on, I don't know what it's for it doesn't make sense because I don't have power locks or an alarm and I don't think the car is worth stealing ..lol It might be factory anti-theft. and I don't know how to make it stop blinking.......Thanks for reading....Does any one have any suggestions.

You don't have push button start I assume. But my girls altima and neighbors with the push button start sometimes does this.

That red blinking light is supposed to do that. It blinks all the time when the car is off. There are a few threads on it here.

thanks for the input Rob, and your right, i dont have push button start. So my only problem seems to be the radio power wire that stays on.
I have the same problem. I turn the car off, take the key out and the radio stays on. The door ajar indicator light stays on when im driving too. I went to the dealership and they said it was the Engine Wiring Harness, it was corroded, I thought this was not an issue since I have the Platinum Extended warranty, but one of the only things not covered is the harness?!!! I say BS!!!!. Can anyone help me? The corrosion is on the harness connectors underneath the drivers side kick plate. Im trying to find another connector at a scrap yard to just replace but its getting pretty tough too find one. If this is really the issue, can I just join the wires together by soldering or compression clips? or… Is that wire harness specific to that year Versa.. can I use another one from a different model/year? Mine is a 2010 Hatchback… Anyone!!!??? Help!!!????

Thank you in advance…lol
