I am getting error code p0101 on my 2012 Nissan Versa. I have already replaced the air filter and had replaced the MAF sensor as well. It seems to go away after a while but will then come back. I have noticed that the car doesn't seem to have any driving problems. The engine is not idling rough. What else should I check to try to fix this error code that keeps coming up?

Some of the stuff you already did, but there are a few items that you may want to try. As an extra step, I would use electronic contact cleaner on all electrical connections pertaining to the Maf sensor. Good luck!!

Did you install a cold air intake, warm air intake, short ram or reusable air filter? Id undo any of the above. Id also check the plumbing from the air filter to the engine to make sure there are no leaks. Those curved pipe pieces can have cracks that open up when the engine rocks as you accelerate and brake. This may explain why it pops up later or when that one time you accelerate hard.

Clean the MAF sensor with CRC MAF Cleaner spray. I wouldn't even use electronic cleaner spray as the MAF sensor are extremely sensitive. Additionally, make sure you left the sensor dry out for at least 15 minutes before reinstalling it and giving it power. Finally, I would actually have the code cleared using a scan tool and then see it if reappears. If it continues to be intermittent it could be an electrical issue or whatnot.

+1 I usually drain the can on 1 sensor and spray it from different angles using the straw. There is also the chance you bought a bad sensor.
