Fluids, how confusing?

I hope this is the right spot for this, as I am new here and just made a intro thread. I own a 2007 Red Nissan Versa Hatch with a little over 123,xxx miles. Due to laziness and my qork schedual I haven't performed and fluid changes since I got the car at 117 almost 118,xxx miles. I have read that oil and oil filter changes should be performed every 3,750 miles, so I should be at almost two. The thing I want to know is what fluid I should be using and what oil filter would be best to get the most life out of my engine. I know everyone has opinions as to what's better, but just some ideas would be nice. My tranny fluiud and filter should be changed to I would imagine, as I am not sure they did it when I bought the car even though they were suppposed to, and I think it could do well with a good tranny flushing as well. What would I need for such a task, and what fluids would be good for those as well. My idea is to purchase the things I need, more Nissan oriented I imagine and bring them to my local shop to have the deeds performed, so they can be documented for future references. Any help as to what I should use for both my oil/oil filter and tranny fluid/ tranny filter/ tranny flush tasks would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to any replies.

for oil changes I take it to a local valvoline instant oil change. they put 5/30 valvoline with a valvoline oil filter. after 3,000 miles it does start to burn a little but I top it off and change it before 4,000 miles

coolant flush, I took it to the dealer. paid 120.00 plus tax, but its due every 60,000 miles

Transmission Flush, you could buy the transmission fluid, and transmission filter at the dealer and let your local shop do the labor

bottom line maintenance is expensive but they're still cheaper than replacing the motor or transmission when the warranty is up. and sometimes even with warranty if the transmission fails, they will ask when was the last time the fluid was changed and if its past due it could void the warranty
Okay, thank you I will have to drop by my local Nissan dealer and see what they have to say about it, and how much it will cost.
I just switched to amsoil synthetic oil and amsoil filter and I like them so far, although its only been a week. Its supposed to be good for like 15,000 miles though. We'll see about that.
Once the powertrain warranty expired, i started with diy synthetic oil changes every 10000km. I bought a case of amsoil for my sentra, but lost my nerve and changed it at only 20000km lol. now i use whatever synth is on sale
I emailed my local Nissan dealer for prices...if they aren't to bad I'll take my car there...if not I may be doing some DIY work...
Look online they sometimes have coupons for local dealers
