Foglights to turn on with Parking lights

I don't know if a post has been made or not, but I couldn't find it. I was looking at forums from Altima's, and somebody was able to do this. I am trying to see if we can some how rewire the fogs to be able to come on when the parking lights are on. In the altima forums, they did something in the stalk where the headlight control is. They cut a wire, and tapped into the parking light wire to be used as a turn on signal, so you can switch the fogs on when the parking lights are on. Anybody know how to do this on a Versa? or is there a forum already on this? Thanks

I don't really know of anyone that has done it but sounds good. Would you need a separate switch for them?
Im looking into this as well. Im trying to get it to work with the foglight switch on the stalk. Im waiting for warmer weather to really look into it more. But if you dont mind adding a switch somewhere it shouldnt be that hard. Just like adding aftrrmarket fogs
If you take 12V from the parking light and feed a relay in serie with a little switch you can turn on and turn off your fog light, conditioned by parking light and a little switch, all this to turn on or turn off the relay.feed the high power side of the relay to conect the fog ligths. remember that a relay have two sides, one for turn on or turn off the relay and other to feed high power to the load.

Regards

That's what I was thinking. Sounds like a good plan. :D

Doing such this is easy. Here's one way i know. You could see some of the pictures below. they are self-explanatory. You can crimp the connectors on as you wish, however then I chose to solder it. Snip the corner off the 10A fuse and solder the other end of the power wire to one of it's legs. This is done to simply activate the relay. Pull the fog relay out of the Fuse Center under the hood and connect your wires to it.

I don't think versa's have a fog relay. The altima's like yours can be done. But I don't think versa's can. I no longer own my versa, but I can check my sentra.
I did, just using an aftermarket switch directly connected to the battery. I can turn my fogs on whenever I want, just need to remember to turn them off when the car is off because the power from the battery is continuous with the car on or off.
I have my fog lamp power wire connected to my parking lamp fuse under the hood. Sure, I've got a wire running out the side of the fuse box, but it can be easily hidden for the most part with some zip ties.
