For myself I got all my pieces through amazon, picked up a hatchback specific medium sized box for a 12" and it takes up maybe 1/4 of the width of the hatchback and about half the depth. its hatchback specific because it has an angled back to be pushed up against back seat. if your curious about how the box sounds it is purely amazing, crystal clear sound reproduction and its a smooth sound since its a sealed box. heres a pic!

lol duh thanks. I did think about another source of power for my sound system just didn't know what kind but that sure fits the bill!
just to help clarify, its not another source of power, thats ur battery. the capacitor put simply stores extra charge from the alternator and battery. So when the bass hits quite hard and needs a huge spike of energy, its able to get a majority from the capacitor instead of being parasitic on the other car systems. basically the battery has a limited current output, as does the alternator, so if you dont have a capacitor or a large enough one, you will see your interior lights (and definitely headlights) dim to the beat of the music. its definitely a requirement in my setup where a peak of 1000W will easily draw too much from the rest of the systems. the capacitor's power level is pretty much entirely tied to that of your car battery
