I just don't want to deal with the CEL and Emissions testing that I would fail if installed here in TX.

as long as the cats are installed and function properly then there should be no problem. If the cel does come on you just need to use a spark plug defouler to space the after cat o2 sensor away from the main exhaust stream to turn the cel lamp off and as far as emissions go yours is obd2 so it is basically plug and scan for the ecm codes. no codes no fail.
