Any one ever test there fuel pressure? I'm wanting to do mine to diagnose a problem. I'm wondering if anyone could
Point me in the direction of a place to tap into the fuel system to test and possible pressure reading that are correct?????

50 psi or so. Taken with a setup spliced in at pretty close to the TB, the quick connect before the intake on MR18DE. You MUST use high pressure fuel line, that pressure will burst normal low pressure line on you.

Maybe newer rails had pressure test ports but it's easier just to splice into the sending unit itself, pull up the rear seat clips and find a quick connect splice, to discharge line pressure pull fuel pump fuse, start and run till it dies. You don't have to do it really but it minimizes fuel spraying all over the top of the tank and minimizes gas smell inside, put a rag near the quick connect when you pull it off. Why do you want to measure fuel pressure? It's a senseless test, if you're wondering about FPR TSB, the only time you need it is when you have long cranking before start, that's the only time it's actually bad. When it's bad it won't cause any other running problems only starting problem.

While that may be a common fail it's not necessarily so. Those type pumps can fail in a number of ways like overheating once in use to suddenly drag down and engine stops then cranks right back up a minute later. There are other issues than simple motor fails too depending on how many check valves and bypasses are built into the system. Most module types use a bypass of some sort to keep the module housing full at all times. The pump motor can be running like gangbusters but if no fuel in module then engine dies regardless or where car is at. With filter being at the module then there can be varying degrees of fail simply due to that. That often shows as a pressure fail at merging at higher speeds say on freeway.
