Well, I was wanting to change my headliner. I talked to the person who sold me the car. She informed me that all of the mechanics/tech guys said it would be best if I didn't do it my self. It would take hours, especially if you have the hatch back, and with the side air bags (in the headliner).
They said that I could take it to an upholstery shop and see if they could or would be willing to do it. I was also informed that the air bags are attached to the headliner.

Looks like I will find a different way of changing the headliner with out removing it. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Sincerly,
Chelsea

I was going to tackle this project but just dont have the time. My dealership gave me the printed instructions on how to remove it, and offered to help, but I don't have time to tear my car apart right now. Maybe if I ever take some vacation time and don't leave the country for it haha
Hmm... Maybe what I could do is go and buy the car repair manual. That might have the detailed instructions on how to do it. They seemed pretty strong against me doing it.

Just ask the dealership for you rather than going out to spend $ on it.
Good point. I'll try asking again. Even though it seems like they won't.
Maybe I'll try another nissan dealer if they don't do it.

Some dealerships are willing to work with you more than others are. And a lot of them it seems tend to frown upon the modifying/tuning community.
 That probably explains why they gave me the run around. I'll go try a different dealer and hope I get better results. :)

Airbags are not attached to the headliner.
You need to remove all the vertical panels that meet the headliner before you can take it down.
I removed mine when I did my sound-deadening along with compass/temp mirror and bluetooth microphone wiring.
It was'nt a piece of cake, but not impossible either.
Be sure to dis-connect the battery before you begin to be safe with the pillar air bags.
So then, it's safe to say that my dealership fed me a line of B.S?
Geez. Looks like I'll use them for my warrenty repairs only, if they can't be honest with me. :banghead:
