ok called nissan got the part number confirmed costs and got the email out to the body shop. also for anyone lookin for the OEM CF hood for a really good price

AutoBarber Inc - 2007-2008 Nissan Versa OEM Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood
Yeah, I'd get a regular bumper, unless you plan on getting both sports bumpers, I don't like unmatched parts, just my opinion.
already got the numbers and prices to the dealership and great news to hear. the cost of what it would take to prep and paint the steel hood covers the cost of my CF hood :biggrin5: along with the sport bumper too......this is better than i thought

nope just leavng it the regular CF
Thats cool man, are you getting OEM headlights? And still plan on getting the fogs?
no fogs, i might get a set of the walmart fogs...cheaper and i know how to wire those and the body shop is only replacing the broken one

Wal-Mart fogs are good too man, I've had mine for a couple of months and they're good. Just get ahold of a dremel or get pre-cut fog covers from ebay and you'll be good. And that's a good idea, I love OEM headlights, specially with clear light bulbs.
How durable is the CF Hood? Lets say...5 years from now, would it still look the same?
the hood should still be fine. just gotta keep a good clear coat on it other wise it might turn a yellowish color but thats usually the cheap CF hoods. I know seibon is a good company and i dont think ill have problem with it
That's cool then. I'm planning on getting in the future
its a great investment i think. was gonna do it sooner or later but this acutally saves me some money haha. only payin $500 instead of what it would cost to buy it all separate and take it too a body shop and for paint on the bumper haha
Hey quick question Major, did you have any trouble with te insurance adjuster? I mean how were you able to order all the aftermarket parts without raising a red flag. They ususally just replace with OEM parts no?
yeah they usually do but i told the body shop what i wanted and they said as long as it same into the same price as OEM parts or cheaper than the insurance would look at it and give them the thumbs up or down
Cool, I guess I know what to do now lol. Do update with pics when everything is said and done.
ill update as soon as possible
car went in the shop this morning, getting an update on wednesday
be done on friday!
