I use it every day sadly. I have this stupid thing from my car insurance where they measure my driving to see if i'm driving safely and it lasts a YEAR. -___-

Yes you can, they get my mileage, breaking measurements, accelerating measurements, practically anything from it
you plug in a scan tool for diagnostics, or in the case of freddy the insurance company keeps an eye on you lol
how expensive is the entire kit?
I just wanted to verify that is this the OBD-II port?

Yessir that's it
Scan tool I think is about 200.. if not it's more you can look it up online.
i would not prefer using a scan tool due to its cost...
i just want to use OBD to improve my economy...

so for that, i would prefer connecting it to my laptop with the cable..
i already have freeware OBD softwares which will do...
although i dont know how much the "OBD male to USB connectors" cost...
Getting fancy.

To really improve fuel would be, keep it under 2200 rpms. Brake easy. Lol that's all I do

Consider the ELM 327 Bluetooth unit and then you can use a smartphone or tablet instead of a laptop.

That looks good, and it comes with a CD! Want one!
Hi guys.
I am ordering a OBD-II cable.

Which one of these would work in versa, and which would you suggest me.

Amazon.com: OBD2 OBD II Diagnostic USB Cable For KKL409.1 VAG-COM 409: Automotive

ELM327 V1.4 USB OBD2 OBDII CAN-BUS Diagnostic Scanner USB Cable : Amazon.com : Automotive

Personally im inclined towards getting the second one.
I want to place an order today :D

i got the OBD-2 cable
SCAN ELM327 interface

used 2 different softwares.
i only got battery voltage readings.
it says the car does not support any other readings such as speed, tacho, or ANYTHING else.
only got instantaneous battery voltage
I have the scan gauge II plugged in 24/7
worked in my friends yaris.
but i dont get anything except battery voltage for my car.
