Headlight Assembly

Hit a deer last night. Luckily, the only damage done to the Versa was a headlight & I lost the grille.

Unfortunately, my insurance deductible is $500. Which is way more than what the parts will cost.

I found a grille pretty cheap for $40. I am guessing this cheap, don't really know but it's in my budget. However, I am having a hard time finding a good price on a Headlight. Dealership quoted me on $200. I just need one, the left/driver side. I still have lights, but no left blinker & the headlight is detached from the vehicle.

I am really strapped for money right now so I need to find a replacement as cheap as I can get it. I called some auto salvages near me and they have no Versa's. One did but the front end was damaged.

Anyone that know of any place to go to that has one cheap or a good deal I would appreciate knowing.

Hey I would try ebay. I've seen both for like $300 but doesnt hurt to try. Might find one with broken tabs or something.

Very cheap, and it appears they repaired the broken bracket, worth 60 bucks.

Awesome find. Thank you so much!!

Going to see if I can tape (or something) the headlight in place until I get that one. Every little bump is sending it further down and pushing my bumper off.

Hate how it looks but guess it could have been a lot worse.

I also got the $40 aftermarket grill, they are identical to OEM cosmetic and materials wise, they just have lower quality control so check that the fit of the chrome strips and the tabs are good and that it's not warped.

I got a pair of TYC headlights on eBay for $180 for the pair, i have no clue how they do it that cheap, fit and finish is fine, they even come with brand new bulbs and even the turn signal harness, ready to bolt in. Didn't need to adjust aim either.

It really sucks that that deer didn't break up your bumper in addition, then you could get it all covered, AND upgrade to the sport bumper, which i believe is the same price as a standard bumper. Main difference is that it has a little bit of a lip at the bottom, wider lower grill, sticks out a bit further, and doesn't have those stupid dimples on the side.

Made in Taiwan, not OEM. That's why their so cheap. If you have the money you should buy OEM, for the optic quality... and the quality.

I noticed '07-'10 lamps were made by Hella Inc. a very respected brand.

I also noticed the new '14 Versa Note I own has Valeo Sylvania, so they changed suppliers, probably because they were cheaper.:|
