Hello yall,
My names Spencer and i have been a nissan versa owner for about 6 months. Im 17 and making payments on it, cause im tired of my POS jeep as a mud toy and need something that started everytime. So i looked around and the nissan versa seemed like the bang for the buck. So here i am now... Ima get some pictures up here soon hopefully. Its an 07 Brilliant silver, automatic, 1.8l.
completly bone stock besides new tires from roasting them to much around corners =D. The versa is a freakin go-kart its fun as heck. This forum for the versa seems to actually be decent, and ful of some nice people. I was a member of the versaforum.org thread but people there are a bit on the well, mean side to say the least. So i guess i decided to give this one a try. Hopefully it will work out.

Thanks,

Spencer

Welcome Mr. Spencer, congrats on the new ride and for making a great choice! Have fun and stick around dood.
Hey bro, welcome to the forum. :) Gratz on your purchase. I must say, if you like the go-kart effect, you should buy some Tanabe's. They only intensify the feeling!
welcome! so yeah buy the tanabe springs and a DC strut bar and you will be good to go!
Welcome aboard fella!

Can only agree with what the crew already said! :)
Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay here more than the other forum! (This one is much nicer) :)
Hello All,
Just like to say thanks for all the warm welcomes.
Yea i want to lower my car a bit its sitting kinda high.
But dont got the money right now still just a student with a measly cash flow job.
i think the first thing ima get is new rims because im due for tires here soon, so might as well get the rims to. I got a KN air filter comming here soon..

Does the tanabe springs and strut bar void the warranties?
thats what im worried about cause i have a extended warranty and its still got i believe
another year and a half on it.
Yes they do. Get them after 60k drivetrain warranty wears out.
I would only void warranty if they cause damage to other parts of the car that have OEM parts when you bring it to a dealer and they point it out to you.
Not over here it doesn't. You stick in a K&N or anything and it's bye bye warranty.
there is lots of speculation about after market parts voiding warranties, in order for said part to void any warranty they would have to prove that the part in question actually caused something covered under warranty to fail... in other words if put something on the car they would have to prove that it caused a part to fail or go out for it to void your warranty.... hope this helps

That's the best advice ever. If you ever buy aftermarket parts, do plenty of research. Don't purchase any aftermarket parts that you have any doubt in their quality of craftsmanship. Reliable big name companies I'd go with are AEM, K&N, Greddy, Megan Racing, Buddy Club, Skunk2, Eibach, Tanabe, DC Sports. There may be a few others I may have missed, but that covers a majority of them. I would avoid any shaddy places for automotive parts such as Ebay, they carry alot of sub-par low grade no name brands that have questionable reliability. Good luck!
