I bought a couple of Accords in the 80s. In 1993, they were running loss leader ads on 8100 PUs. That is now a Tacoma. However, the prices of those two brands have hit the roof. I paid $7K out the door for my 1993, and $12K for my 2002 Taco. That truck now would be close to $20, out the door.

So, I am looking at Versa. I have seen em in ads, for $11500 w/dealer-chiseler
fee. In Atlanta GA, 300 miles from me. That of course is a base Versa. It would have a manual trans. I don't think the CVT is worth the cost. I bet it will not
last as long as a manual.

Anyway, what I would really like is a V6 truck w/MT. But, I can't afford that.
Versa looks good and I feel it is as good as Honda or Yota. Honda always gets
very favorable press coverage. But, I think there products have gotten pricy.

Welcome to the forums. Nissan has never really had the reputation that Honda has for reliability, but Nissan will always be my favorite.

Just be aware that the bargain basement prices in ads are often for stripper vehicles that are very hard to find because car manufacturers don't make a lot of them. You'll probably end up with a vehicle that has at least a few options.

So the manufacturers create cars with built in strippers....where do I sign up for one of those?
