I find mine to have quite a bit of pep ... I have the CVT transmission.
Does your daughter drive an auto, CVT, or manual transmission?

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!! welcome to NVF like ILMV what kind of versa does your daughter drive? also at the moment the only performance upgrade available for the versa are: Cold air intake, axle back exhaust, headers, soon to come is tuned ECU for the versa then for handling we have slotted brakes, big brake kits, shocks, springs, and alot more check out versaspeed for parts and items just post your questions and regards and we will gladly answer your questions and if we cant provide you an answer we can point you to the right direction i hope

Welcome Pete...Regardless of what transmission your daughter has, the Cold Air Intake will definitely meet her needs. But beware it is also is what I like to call the gateway drug to the mod bug.

Thanks for the warm welcome! She has an auto trans., and it is peppier than some of the similar cars we looked at when we bought. But boyfriend is driving a modded GTi that really rocks and it is taking its toll! I'll go ahead and spring for the CAI and ask her about the axle-back.

I post up-dates as we go down this road!

The Versa is never going to be able to run with a GTi or something along those lines. It wasnt designed for that. It was made to be roomy and get good mpg.

Speaking the truth though.

Nissan has no intention of making the versa along the same lines as the GTi, Si, even the mazda 3 with out the speed lol. Should have gotten the B16 Spec V with 200hp and a 6 speed trans. Then you'd out run a GTi.

The versa will all the aftermarket support there is right now will NOT break into the 15's. Its just stepping out of 17's with this mods. I am not here to bash the Versa i love mine. But remember what you bought it for.. The roomy interior and the mpg... thats all this car was designed for.

without a doubt I could get my 2500 lbs versa 1.6 into 15's. I just do not want to spend that much money!

She understands that, and doesn't expect it to run with a GTi. But then, my Mustang will never run with a Ferrari, either...I still love it!

yup yup good thing you love your mustang... i think everyone should love what they drive ^_^ because its market value will just keep going down... at todays economy i rather drive my versa than any other car besides prius lol because of the MPG

thats awesome DOM hehehehe... thats what im going to do to when i get old and set for life ill buy muscle car ^_^ i had a 69 chevy malibu but i had to sell it because its just collecting rust... but when i retire ill get a restorer car to play with or just get a charger or gto or camaro ^_^v or a restored supra with 1khp hehehehe... but till then im happy with my versa and loving it like its the fastest car in the world ^_^v

if you have any technical versa questions just feel free to ask, someone here should be able to answer you question for you.... which model did she pick up? and what color? im sure most of us would like to see some pictures...
