Help, all the power windows stopped working.

hmmm never happened before but try to disconnect the battery to reset everything then connect it back after 30 seconds. Check if the windows start working again. If you have an alarm check your alarm manual first before disconnecting the battery.

did you make sure your window lock button wasn't on....
for some reason on the versa when you do that it locks all control of windows....even the drivers

which i find completely odd but whatev lol

When I use my window lock, it locks all windows EXCEPT the drivers window.
I use that button in the winter so passengers cannot accidentally open the window when it is frozen and bust the window's track. However, it allows me to open my window.

Had u disconnected the battery or something? Anything change that could have killed them? Anything new installed?

lol the way i figured that out was because i had pushed it without noticing and started flipping out when my windows wouldn't roll down lol

I learned about that little button when my windows were tinted.

Thanks I tried the button to no avail. I have a 2009 I thought the button also locked out the drivers window. Perhaps the button or a connection failed. Canadian and US versions may work differently.

When you disconect the battery do the negative one, wait about 30 sec to 1 min. Reconect it. Sometimes, like a windows desktop computer, u need to make a restart to make it work right again..... lol. Well maybe by resetting the car, it may work again.... Its just a try that has no cons or regrets on doing it.

So none of your windows open still? Hmm ... Maybe phone the dealership and ask them what you can do. Doesn't hurt to call them up.

That's so strange. Mine is an 08 and allows me to open my driver's window. I'm going to double check it tomorrow though ... :question:

Mines an 09, and locks all but drivers. My 2000 toyota camry LE locked ALL windows including drivers. All cars and yrs are different. I know for 07-08 versa was the same. 09 changed some things (mechanic & cosmetic). I assume 2010 is generation 1.5. 07-09 Generation 1. So who knows, as far as we know versas been changed 3 times in 4yrs, thats good in my opinion, it means nissan is always keeping an eye on it, and making changes for the better, but thats my opinion......

maybe my driver window doesn't lock...idk...never lock it lol i'm usually the only one in it =P

I double checked today, and made a short video to prove I'm not crazy, lol ...
My 08 does allow the driver window to function when the window lock button is engaged.

Disconnecting the battery didn't work. I guess I'll go to the dealer, still under warranty. Often it's easier to fix the little stuff yourself than hassle with the dealer, appointments, transportation and the hard sell for stuff you don't need. Thanks for your help.

I had a 95 Pathfinder that also locked out the drivers window. I guess there's no consistency across makes, models, trim and years.
