Hello!

Nissan Versa 2009 SL Sedan

I am trying to find a part description. It's a hand sized cushion right underneath the hood hinging on both sides. It's kind of loose and upon further inspection it fastened with Velcro material. So I am trying to find out a) importance, b) part name/number and c) what would that cushion cost (estimate)?

Thanks in advance!

Stuff like that commonly cost 10X what it's worth. If only loose then simply get some weatherstrip adhesive and glue it back down. Demanding the EXACT OEM fix in things like that is how people blow big money and for no real reason all day long.

Thanks for the reply!

I was thinking of getting Velcro strips to hold it back down but do you know what that cushion is called? I am not well versed in car parts so I was curious.

Thanks!

I for one do not know, they commonly can call 'parts' like that 50 different things. Pad, cushion like you say, insulator, water dam, sound deadener, the list goes on and on.

Odd to use velcro there, more likely two sided tape that simply looks like it. The ability to relocate by velcro is wasted there and velcro on thousands of cars is ripping some middle manager out of his big bonus when he points out the company can save thousands by going cheaper on that mat.
