So I decided to paint my engine cover what I thought to be hot rod red but once the product was finished it looked more like hot rod orange lol. My question is how can I remove the paint, or can I simply paint over it? I like how it looks, just wish it was a bit brighter and a bit more like red lol. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks =)

get some cheap primer and paint over it. I'm not sure what thinner would do to the engine cover.

That's what I would try, cause if you sand it, with all those little bumps, I dont know if it would come out alright or if it would look junky. Let us know how it turns out!

I saw on one of the auto hot rod tv shows yesterday where they talked about this. They recommend soaking or coating it with brake fluid as it will not eat or harm the plastic. can always try it on a small piece of plastic
